PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for closing a hole capable of reducing the size of the hole in a member to be mounted such as an automobile body while securing a space for moving parts such as the end part of a suspension arm. SOLUTION: This cover 9 for closing a hole comprises a container-shaped cover body 11 which is so formed as to be inserted into the hole 5 in the member 3 to be mounted and in which a space 10 for moving a part 2 therein is formed and a flange 13 for over-insertion prevention formed on the peripheral edge part of the cover body. In the cover body 11, a hinge 15 extending while linearly traversing over a top part 14 is formed on the top part 14 forming the bottom surface of the container-shaped part. The hinge 15 has such an elasticity that its width can be reduced in the direction perpendicular to the hinge by a pressing force and returned to the original width when the pressing force is released.
