ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SHIELDING BODY FOR PLASMA DISPLAY, AND PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE

Provided are an electromagnetic wave shielding body for a plasma display (PDP) and a PDP device using such electromagnetic wave shielding body. The electromagnetic wave shielding body has higher electromagnetic wave shielding performance even resistances of conductive layers are the same, compared with a case where the thickness of the conductive layers is simply increased and in a case where the two conductive layers are simply bonded to each other without considering the distance between the conductive layers. In an electromagnetic wave shielding body (41) for a plasma display, two or more transparent conductors (43, 44) are arranged at an interval, with a high resistivity body (42) having a volume resistivity of 0.1O·m or more in between. Each transparent conductor is independently composed of either a conductive film or a conductive mesh, and a distance between at least two adjacent transparent conductors is 1mm or more. The high resistivity body has at least one layer selected from a transparent base material layer and a transparent gas layer. A PDP device (40) is provided with a PDP (45) and the electromagnetic wave shielding body (41) arranged on the viewing side of the PDP (45).
