<p>An imaging device is provided with readout amplifiers (22) which are connected to vertical transfer CCDs, respectively. The number of the readout amplifiers is the same as that of the vertical transfer CCDs. A power supply section (9a) and a timing generator (9b) control the readout amplifiers (22) to be driven in sequence, and in the readout amplifier (22), readout frequency can be reduced by a few tenths of that of the vertical transfer CCDs without reducing transfer cycle and signal output frequency of storage CCDs and the vertical transfer CCDs upon signal readout. Thus, readout noise of the amplifier is reduced while suppressing dark signal noise generated by the storage CCDs and the vertical transfer CCDs.</p> |
