<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical recording medium by which the thickness of each intermediate layer of a multi-layer type optical recording medium having three or more information recording layers, is controlled correctly within the limits of set values established beforehand. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an optical recording medium is characterized by: having a process to form at least three information recording layers sandwiching an intermediate layer having optical transparency on a disk-like substrate formed by optical transparency materials; preparing an intermediate layer monitor area in which neither a recording film nor a reflection film is formed on a face on which an information recording layer is formed; irradiating the formed information recording layer with a monitor optical beam transmitting through the substrate concerned and the intermediate layer monitor area from the substrate side; and measuring the thickness of the intermediate layer which is adjacent to the substrate side of the information recording layer which is irradiated with the monitor optical beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
