<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel cap that enables the hygienic preservation of residual content in a vessel after the vessel has been uncapped. <P>SOLUTION: An upper cap 3 to be mounted on a bottle 6 is kept a little loosened so as for air inside the bottle to be released. The operation of pushing down the upper cap several times enables the formation of a vacuum state in an expansion/contraction body 1.
