<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supplement cartridge which is capable of efficiently supplementing fresh ink to a writing implement having used up ink, and to provide the writing implement using this ink supplement cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The ink supplement cartridge includes an ink tank 10 having an ink outlet 12b1, the ink M filled in the ink tank 10, and a closing cap 20 fitted removably to the ink tank 10 so that it closes up the ink outlet 12b1, and the cartridge is fitted to the rear end opening of a shaft tube of the writing implement wherefrom a removable tail plug is removed, so that the ink outlet 12b1 communicates with the opening. Herein a small-diameter part 12b is provided on the front end side of the ink tank 10 and the inner peripheral surface side of the small-diameter part 12b is made the ink outlet 12b1, while a venting route 12e making the inside and outside of the ink tank communicate with each other is provided in the small-diameter part 12b itself.
