<p>Pastilles etc. for the treatment of throat infections have an outer coating containing a proteolytic enzyme and an inner core containing conventional active ingredients such as antiseptics, local anaesthetics, vitamins and sedatives. In an example pastilles were prepared containing 8000 U ATEE of alpha- chymotrypsin in the outer layer and 10 mg cethexonium and 1 mg benzocaine in the central core.</p> |
