<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate deterioration of toner in a one-component developing device to allow use for a longer period of time. <P>SOLUTION: When a control part of an image forming apparatus determines that a toner container is exchanged by detecting insufficient remaining quantity (LOW) or empty (EMPTY) of toner container, the control part sets a non-supply mode when performing printing of a prescribed number of prints (step S6). Thereafter, the printing without toner supply proceeds, and a non-supply printing dot count is exceeded, a discharge mode is set next, and deteriorated toner left in a developing device is discharged. After the completion of the discharge, a re-filling mode is set, and refresh of toner is completed by clearing all the settings when the re-filling ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
