LEVELING DEVICE FOR HEADLIGHT OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problem of a conventional headlight such as a fog light wherein since it is small in size and has no installation space for the actuator, the overall device is complicated and the cost is high.

SOLUTION: This leveling device for the headlight of an automobile comprises: a reflector rotating shaft 5 so connected between a housing 1 and a reflector 2 that its axial direction is horizontal and generally perpendicular to the traveling direction of the automobile; a connection rotating shaft 6 so connected to the reflector 2 that its axial direction is horizontal and generally perpendicular to the traveling direction of the automobile; a gel box 7 secured to the housing 1 and containing a gel 8; a weight 9 disposed in the gel 8 contained in the gel box 7 in a floated state; and a connection member 10 rotatably connecting the connection rotating shaft 6 to the weight 9. The leveling device is set stationary at a generally predetermined angle formed by the reflector 2 and the connection member 10 due to the balance of weight of the device by the weight of the reflector 2 side and the weight of the weight 9 side on both sides of the connection rotating shaft 6.
