PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting display device of a fluorescent lamp with which the length of the fluorescent lamp can be shortened even when used for a large screen and contrast distribution of a screen can be controlled by decreasing lighting voltage as much as possible to reduce breakdown voltage of an inverter, a terminal, or the like. SOLUTION: The lighting display device is provided with a liquid crystal display panel, quadrangular light source modules B1, B2,... in each of which a plurality of fluorescent lamps are arranged and a polarity switching circuit driving the light source modules B1, B2,... by outputting AC driving voltage having a prescribed frequency, wherein the plurality of light source modules B1, B2,... are prepared and the plurality of light source modules B1, B2,... are disposed so that the light source modules are combined with one another and opposed to the whole rear surface of the liquid crystal display panel.
