PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water suction preventing structure for acquiring effective water suction preventing effects without causing a problem such as the interference of a suction duct opening portion of an air cleaner to be installed in a vehicle with other peripheral components than suction system components. SOLUTION: In the water suction preventing structure, a shielding wall is arranged between a flying passage for water droplets to fly near the suction duct opening portion of the air cleaner and the suction duct opening portion. A water suction preventing plate 20 is fixed to a peripheral wall 11b of the suction duct opening portion 11a via a first mounting portion 30 and fixed to an outer shell portion 13a of the air cleaner 10 via a second mounting portion 40, and supported by the first mounting portion 30 and the second mounting portion 40 and arranged to encircle the suction duct opening portion 11a.
