PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform carbon-containing coating on the surface of each metal particulate. SOLUTION: Each metal particulate coated with a polymer protective colloid such as gelatin is produced, and is thereafter heated in a low oxygen partial pressure atmosphere under an oxygen partial pressure of≤10 Pa, so as to thermally decompose the polymer protective colloid, thus a carbon-containing coating is formed on the surface of each metal particulate. Each metal particulate with the carbon-containing coating formed can deal with use at high temperature in a catalyst material, a coloring agent or the like since its oxidation stability can be improved. Further, the carbon-containing coating formed on the surface of each metal particulate can be removed by baking, and it can be widely applied, e,g, to the material for securing electric conduction. Furthermore, the fluidic composition at least containing each metal particulate and a solvent can be used as the material for forming a metal-containing film or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
