PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleep and health improving agent having definite sleep-improving effect and high safety and takable by continuous administration. SOLUTION: The sleep and health improving agent comprises a dietary fiber composed of a water-soluble and hardly fermentable dietary fiber and a water-soluble and fermentable dietary fiber in an amount of 1-95 wt.% based on the total amount, wherein the amount of the water-soluble and fermentable dietary fiber is 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the water-soluble and hardly fermentable dietary fiber.
