An air-bag device for walker easier in mounting work thereof. The air-bag device (10) for a walker includes a base plate (20) lying fore and aft along an A-pillar (2) of a body (1), a folded air bag (30) placed along the base plate (20), a cover (40) lying over the folded air bag (30), and an inflator (60) coupled to the foremost end of the air bag (30). On attachment of the air-bag device (10) for a walker to the A-pillar (2), a latch (6) extending out of the A-pillar (2) is introduced into slits (54, 24, and 49), which are made on a side of the cover (40) and on the base plate (20), to get the A-pillar (2) engaging with the air-bag device (10) for walkers. Then, an anchor (21) at a trailing end of the base plate (20) is fastened to a roof side rail (3) of the body (1) while the inflator (60) connected with a leading end of the base plate (20) is fastened to a hood ridge (5) of the body (1). |
