The machine has a sheet-feeding unit provided for a diagonal sheet system such as diagonal front lay marks (14a, 14b). A printing cylinder (8) is assigned to a printing unit (15), where a printing plate (1) with a print image (3) is contained in the cylinder in a diagonal manner for printing a product. Sheets (12) are inclined such that boundaries (4a, 4b) of the image are transferred parallel to boundaries (20a, 20b) of the sheet. Inclinations of the marks, the printing unit and/or the plate are coordinated such that ghosting is reduced during printing.
