The method involves inducing a force in a coupled point and measuring the force and a target signal for transmission, particularly a sound pressure. The force is induced in four different directions and the response signal, particularly acceleration, is measured in the coupling point of the induced force. Estimation of the impedance values, particularly the inertance matrix and of the force direction is produced for each force transmission.
