A leg supporting device of the chair is provided to make the movement of chair free and that user does not feel that the height of chair is enhanced. As to setting up a leg supporting device(4) in which a flexibly ball is downward set up in the horizontal tubes of the horizontal leg bottom side of the chair for the reading room in which a pipe is curve-cuted so that the horizontal tubes of both side bottom be formed with "11" shape of a character to contact the either side leg bottom surface of the chair to the floor side as "11" shape of a character of indoor, the leg supporting device in which the semicircular shape support groove is formed toward forward and back longitudinal direction and the ball installation space in which the lower part is opened is formed with the vertical direction in the supporting device main body of the semicircular shape support groove inside and the spring and, ball support globe is inserted and set up to order in the ball installation space and the bottom surface of the ball is exposed to the bottom side in the cover insertion hole and the bottom ball cover(20) that covers the ball is broken away from to the bottom side thing is installed as screw.
