When the plate temperature approaches selected constant value O 1 , the thermistor value is such that the time lag after the unijunction transistor 34 has been turned on becomes substantial and such that the angle of opening of thyristor 32, and hence power to the plate from full wave rectifier 46, decreases until the temperature is maintained at O 1 . Resistance 40 shunted by the thermistor controls the slope of the temperature size to O 1 , resistance 42 controls the magnitude of O 1 and the temporary parallel connection of resistance 44 controls the temperature rise for readout of the main peak (18), the sequences being controlled by push button 60 and time delay circuits 54 and 58.</p> |
