[Also in Division A5] Novel 2 - phenylamino - imidazolines - (2) of the general formula wherein R is a fluorine or chlorine atom or a cyano, trifluoromethyl, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy group and X is a fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom, and physiologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof are prepared by bromination of a 2-phenylamino-imidazoline- (2) of the general formula optional conversion of the resulting hydrobromide salt to the corresponding free base and optional conversion of the said free base to a physiologically acceptable acid addition salt thereof other than the hydrobromide salt.</p> |
