The portable exercise apparatus 10 includes first and second telescopic members 12 and 14, biasing means in the form of elastic loops 16 for urging the first and second members 12 and 14 into or out of engagement with one another and first and second engaging formations 18 and 20 located at free ends of the first and second members 12 and 14 for in use engaging body parts of a user (not shown). The length of at least one of the telescopic members 12 and 14 is selectable according to the muscle group of a user which is to be exercised. |
