A key operated cylinder lock(1) in the embodiment of a double barrel lock. There is a primary set of differ pins (4) and secondary set of differ pins (7,8) which flank the primary set of differ pins (4). The pins (4,7,9) are each mounted on a spring (10). If the primary set of differ pins (1) is operated illegally by use of a bumper key, the bores of primary differ pins in the barrel (3) are engaged by a set of secondary differ pins and the lock is blocked. The cylinder lock could be operated by a turnable knob on the inside of a closure, and with a key on the outside of a closure, where the cylinder lock has been mounted.
