A yacht (10) having an adjustable ballast assembly (10) comprising a ballast (20), an elongated hollow ballast guide (19) o mounted to the hull (12) of the watercraft to extend transversely of the hull (12), the ballast (20) being located within the guide (19) and there being means for selectively moving the ballast (20) longitudinally of the guide (19) between respective opposite end positions in which at least part of the ballast (20) is located laterally outwardly of the hull (12). The elongated guide (19) may be located within an outer hollow guide (14) and mounted for longitudinal movement relative to the outer guide (14) so as to be capable of projecting telescopically from opposite ends of the outer guide (14). |
