A measuring instrument for determining the center of circle is provided to draw a line at an accurate angle on a circular work piece by making the center indication edge always direct the center of the circular work piece. A measuring instrument for determining the center of circle comprises more than two latch protrusions(30) contacting the circumference of a circular work piece, a latch support(20) in which the latch protrusions are projected at certain intervals, and a center pointer(10) in which a center indication edge which perpendicularly divides equally a straight line connecting the points the latch protrusion and the adjacent latch protrusion contact with the circular work piece is formed. The center indication edge of the center pointer always directs the center of the circular work piece. A scale for measuring dimension is formed on one side edge of the latch support and the center indication edge of the center.
