A multimodal high density polyethylene composition suitable for the production of film, said composition comprising a HDPE polymer which comprises a lower molecular weight polyethylene component and a higher molecular weight polyethylene component and wherein said HDPE polymer has a SHI (2.7/210) of 13 or more and,
when said multimodal HDPE composition is formed as a blown film consisting of said HDPE polymer and having a thickness of 30 µm,
said film has a WVTR of less than 4.5 g/m 2 /24 hours according to ASTM F 1249 at 38°C and 90% humidity.
