LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD OF THE SAME

A liquid crystal display and driving method is provided to improve discharge error generating specific gradient signal after the backlight off and displaying the specific gradient in the power off. In a liquid crystal display, a receiver(20) is provided with the power source and differential signal from outside and a backlight power supply unit(30) supplies the power source to the back light. A power-off sensor(50) senses the power off of the backlight power supply unit and distorts the differential signal. A controller(60) senses the distortion of the differential signal and generates the afterimage elimination signal.
