A method for cutting a liquid crystal display panel is provided to cut liquid crystal panel from the mother board without any damage in short time. A scribe unit(190) comprises a cutting wheel(195) for forming a scribe line on the motherboard(101) through the vertical crack, and a steam spray device(196) for processing an amount of the vertical crack by spraying steam. The cutting wheel made of high hardness material such as diamond is attached to the body(193) rotatably. A holder including the cutting wheel and the body is adhered to the housing(191) of the scribe unit. The steam spray device attached on the scribe unit sprays steam, and divides liquid crystal display panels from a mother board through cutting the glass by processing an amount of the vertical crack formed on the scribe line.
