A vehicle height adjusting shock absorber and a pump rod supporting structure used for the same are provided to prevent separation of a pump rod from a body valve and operation failure and noise due to the separation of the pump rod. A vehicle height adjusting shock absorber comprises a pump chamber(25) provided within the hollow inside of a piston rod(20), a hollow pump rod(22) partially inserted in the pump chamber and pumping the oil along with the pump chamber, and a body valve(400) which includes a body(410) having a through hole(412) through which the pump rod is inserted and a support pin(420) supporting the pump rod up on the bottom side of the through hole, and provides a passage between the pump rod and a low pressure chamber and a high pressure chamber and a pressing chamber.
