<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use one sensor as a safety sensor and a starting sensor in common. <P>SOLUTION: A contact part 28a is arranged in a position for contacting with a passer in a door surface of a freely slidable door 4 for opening and closing an opening for passing the passer. The sensor 14a is arranged above the opening. This sensor 14a sets a plurality of detecting areas 24c to 24g in a width range of the opening.
