1325922 Retractive switches JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 19 Jan 1971 [7 Feb 1970] 5999/70 Heading H1N An electrical switch comprises first and second body parts 11 and 12 engaged as a snap fit with one another, a plunger 17 slidably mounted in body part 12, a fixed contact carried by body part 11 and being one of a set of contacts arranged to be operated by movement of said plunger 17, and a resilient diaphragm 24 through which the plunger 17 sealingly extends, the periphery of the diaphragm 24 being trapped between the body parts 11, 12 toprevent passage of foreign material from part 12 to part 11. As shown, the plunger 17 is of brass for bridging two contacts 13, and an extension 19 of synthetic resin is secured to the plunger 17 and is urged outwardly by a spring 22, acting against a steel washer 10. |
