Production of a high temperature resistant material comprises coating an iron, iron-chromium, iron-nickel or iron-nickel-chromium substrate with aluminum or chromium and aluminum and carrying out diffusion heat treatment on the coated substrate. An independent claim is also included for a material produced by the above process.
