An installation structure of driving device for elevator is provided to increase space utilization since there is no additional machine room on the top of the elevator. In an installation structure of driving device for elevator, the top of the elevator, a balance weight and first and second pulley(40,50) are installed at on the same line. A guide sheaves(60), installed at the top of the second pulley guiding a wire rope, is installed on the frame(10). A drive motor(22) and decelerator(24) are installed vertically into one body on the side wall and driving pulley(26) which is engaged with them to rotate forward/reverse is located to be on the same line of balance weight pulley, fist and second pulley. A wire rope connecting the elevation car and balance weight(80) is fixed on the top of the elevator car.
