A broadcasting contents apparatus for easily providing broadcasting contents information through an image and a method therefore are provided to obtain the broadcasting contents information through an acquired image even through a mobile terminal user does not know base information about broadcasting contents. The image of the broadcasting content which a mobile terminal(10) acquires is received from the mobile terminal. The broadcast content information of the obtained image is acquired(S41, S47). Broadcasting contents database extracts broadcast content information based on the generation time of the received image(S49, S51). The obtained image is one of the image which the mobile terminal takes a picture or captures.
