An inorganic aqueous fire-proof paint composition and a method of fire-proof painting using the same are provided not to reach the heat on a steel structure by forming and expanding the coated film in fire and to ensure fast dry time and excellent foaming ability and heat resistance. An inorganic aqueous fire-proof paint composition comprises 40-65 weight% of denatured silicate; and 1-25 weight% of molar ratio controlling agent containing at least one of amorphous silica or alkali compound; a binder resin containing at least one of acryl-based binder, styrene-based binder and rubber binder; 1-10 weight% of auxiliary blowing agent; and 1-30 weight% of plasticizer.
