METHOD FOR DEACTIVATING MENU OF USER INTERFACE IN IPTV SERVICE

A method for deactivating a user interface menu in an IPTV service is provided to deactivate contents by a user, not a service provider, thereby enabling a user to select, set and access the contents. A menu to be deactivated is selected when a menu display unit of a user interface of a user TV is diplayed. And then deactivation menu selection information is inputted into a settop box. The deactivation menu selection information is transmitted to the TV of the user. The menu which is selected in order to be deactivated among the menu display unit of the user interface of the user TV in the deactivation menu selection information is inactivated.
