This invention relates to pigment compositions comprising an organic pigment treated with about 0.1 to about 20% by weight, based on the organic pigment, of a compound having the formula (I) (see formula I) wherein Q represents an organic pigment moiety, X is O or S, Het represents a heteroaromatic group attached at a ring carbon atom to the (thio)amidomethyl -CH2-NH-CX- linking group, and n is from 1 to 4.
