A method for offering the presence information using ring back tone, which includes: the network side acquires the customization record of ring back tone presence service corresponding to the called user and the route address of the ring back tone apparatus, and joins the call to the ring back tone apparatus according to the route address of the ring back tone apparatus; the ring back tone apparatus acquires the presence information of the called user according to the number of the called user terminal; the ring back tone apparatus sends the presence information of the called user to the calling user terminal. A system and an apparatus for offering the presence information are also provided, the system includes a switch control system, a ring back tone apparatus (97), and a presence server (99); the ring back tone apparatus includes the ring back tone control module and the presence information receiving module. The invention enables the calling user to get the presence information of the called user through the ring back tone conveniently, thus to know the present status or mood of the called user, it enhances the communication experience of the user and enriches the type of the telecommunication service, it also increases the popularization of the presence service. |
