A composition for artificial turf yarn and yarn using the same are provided to have tensile strength, weatherproof, abrasion resistance and upstanding feature as implementing soft feel like natural grass. In a composition for artificial turf yarn and yarn using the same, the composition ratio of the medium density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene is 80:20 or 20:80. In the linear low density polyethylene, the melt index is 1.8 to 2 and the density is 0.915 to 0.920. In the medium density polyethylene, the melt index is 0.5 to 0.6 and the density is 0.935 to 0.940. At least one of pigment, absorbent, UV stabilizer, antioxidant and the silicone additive is selected/added to the composition for artificial turf yarn. |
