There are provided a content data transmission method, device, and program capable of suppressing remarkable disorder of a reproduction content of the reception side caused by a transmission error of encoded data, without transmitting feedback information from the reception side to the transmission side. When creating encoded data to be distributed by an encoder (103), a plurality of encoded data are simultaneously created in advance or FEC data is simultaneously created so that as if single encoded data were stored in a file (104). When distribution is performed by a distribution server (105) by using the file (104), a plurality of encoded data are automatically and simultaneously distributed or FEC is also distributed. A client (106) receives a plurality of encoded data or FEC data, thereby reducing the possibility of data shortage due to packet loss, which in turn reduces deterioration of video quality and audio quality.
