<p>A controller for detecting a short-circuit between terminals of an electrolytic capacitor and a short-circuit of loads connected in parallel to the electrolytic capacitor at an early stage to properly handle them before adversely affecting periphery components. A controller (4) performs a first voltage detection control for detecting the voltage across the terminals of an electrolytic capacitor (83) when a first preset time has elapsed after microcomputers (5, 6) activate a second relay (84), gradually charge the electrolytic capacitor (83) through a current-limiting resister (85), and further activate the second relay (84). The controller further performs a second voltage detection control for detecting the voltage across the terminals of the electrolytic capacitor (83) when a second preset time longer than the first preset time has elapsed after the second relay (84) is activated.</p> |
