A plasma display unit is provided to increase the emission of heat generated from the driving chip of the signal transmission unit connecting the plasma display panel and the drive circuit part. A plasma display unit comprises the plasma display panel(110); the chassis base(120) which is faced with the backplane of the plasma display panel; the drive circuit part which is positioned behind the plasma display panel; the signal transmission unit(170) which electrically connects the plasma display panel and the drive circuit part; the first gap pad formed on the region covering the driving chip; the second gap pad formed on the region of the signal transmission unit corresponding to the first gap pad.
