EXTERNAL AMPLIFIER AMPLIFYING OUTPUT OF BASE STATION AND SYSTEM THEREOF

An external amplifier for amplifying the output of a base station and a system using the same are provided to broaden the coverage area of a small-sized base station. An external amplifier(200) for amplifying the output of a base station(100) comprises the followings: an RF signal input unit(110) to which an RF signal outputted from the base station is inputted; an RF signal amplification unit(210) which amplifies the RF signal outputted from the base station so as to have predetermined amplitude, and then outputs the amplified signal; and an amplifier control unit(220) which includes a control signal input part to control the process of amplifying/outputting the RF signal according to a control signal received from the control signal input part.
