A non-aqueous liquid electrolyte is provided to form a more strong SEI film and to improve the safety and lifetime property of a battery by removing carbon dioxide through reacting carbon dioxide existing in the battery by using a compound containing at least one epoxy group as an electrolyte additive. A non-aqueous liquid electrolyte comprises an electrolyte salt and electrolytic solvent. The electrolyte comprises a compound containing at least one epoxy group capable of reducing CO2 gas by selectively reacting with CO2 gas. The compound containing at least one epoxy group is selected from a group consisting of a compound represented by the chemical formulae 1-8.
