A composition for the smoking cessation assistance and the manufacturing method thereof are provided to remove the temporary nicotine withdrawal symptom by the prohibition of smoking. A composition for the smoking cessation assistance comprises: solvent extract of the mixture of dried bupleuri radix radical 11~14 weight%, dried scutellariae radix radical 8~11 weight%, dried liquorice root 5~8 weight%, dried anemarrhenae rhizoma radical 5~8 weight%, dried liriopis tuber lump root 5~8 weight%, dried gardenia berries 5~8 weight%, dried gentianae scabrae radix radical 5~8 weight%, dried coptidis rhizoma radical 5~8 weight%, dried asparagus cochinchinensis lump root 5~8 weight%, dried ginseng 5~8 weight%, dried acori graminei rhizoma 16~22 weight%, as an active ingredient.
