A ventilation duct having the heat insulation nature and fire retardant characteristic is provided to reduce cost and time for manufacturing and installing the ventilation duct and to cut down material cost by removing a finishing flange and a connect socket. A ventilation duct having the heat insulation nature and fire retardant characteristic comprises as the follows. A lower plate which is the material of the foam plastic is formed in the upper side so that straight groove(lower plate joint) has more than 2 at a predetermined interval. An upper plate(10) in which the straight groove field corresponding with the straight grooves of the lower plate is created in lower part over 2 while being arranged on the top of the lower plate. More than two wall which are combined with the upper plate and the lower plate are formed with a linear type protrusion and are the material of the foam plastic and is inserted in the straight groove of the lower plate and upper plate and is respectively combined in the upper portion and bottom. A taping part fixing the lower plate and the upper plate, and the longitudinal end of the wall is connected to the longitudinal end of the lower plate and the longitudinal end of the upper plate in the longitudinal direction.
