An intelligent load balancing and failover of network traffic for improving total network performance are provided to transfer network connection about a plurality of NIC in a computer device by using a hash engine and to use the connection transfer for performing load balancing, failover and failback. An ARP(Address Resolution Protocol) response packet generated by an operating system is intercepted(406). An ARP reply packet comprises a first MAC(Media Access Control) address relating to a first NIC. The ARP reply packet is decoded. A second MAC address relating to a second NIC is produced. The first MAC address within the ARP reply packet is replaced with the second MAC address.
