<p>The independent device for collecting and lifting poly-metallic nodules situated at greater depths in the ocean, comprises a branch (1) that maintains a collection net (2) over the bottom of the ocean, a guidance device for modifying hydrodynamism of the independent device, and a combustion chamber (7) containing thermite or thermate intended to reheat sea water under lifting parachute (5) and a bottle of air under high pressure. The chamber further contains components to generate a complementary gas for increasing the volume of gas in the lifting parachute.
