A light emitting device and a display device are provided to improve the luminance of the light emitting surface by increasing the anode voltage and preventing the arc discharge. A light emitting device comprises the first substrate(12) and the second substrate(14) arranged opposite to each other; the electronics emission unit(16) which is comprised of a plurality of electron-emissive elements while being positioned in the one side of the first substrate; the luminous unit(18) which emits the visible light while being positioned in the one side of the second substrate. The electron-emissive element comprises the first electrodes(22) positioned with constant interval from each other; the second electrodes(24) positioned between first electrodes; the first electron emission unit(26) which are formed with the height lower than the first electrodes while being electrically connected to the first electrodes.
