A system for sensing the direction of the other party in mobile communication and a method therefor are provided to display the direction to a place where the other party is located together with the direction in which the mobile terminal looks on a screen where the face of the other party, performing a video call, is displayed. A position measuring server belongs to a mobile communication network to provide GPS information. A communication means provides a video call path and a data communication path between mobile communication terminals to transmit information for sensing the direction of the other party(S34). The mobile terminal requests a mobile terminal of the other party to transmit/receive GPS information at the request of a user who is performing a video call with the other party(S35). If the mobile terminal of the other party permits the transmission/receipt of GPS information, the mobile terminal transmits its own GPS information, obtained through the position measuring server, to the mobile terminal of the other party(S36). The mobile terminal measures the direction in which oneself faces, and calculates the direction of the terminal of the other party based on its own GPS coordinates and GPS coordinates of the mobile terminal of the other party(S37). |
