A SEPARATOR HAVING POROUS COATING LAYER AND ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE CONTAINING THE SAME

A separator formed with a porous coating layer is provided to improve thermal stability of a separator by inducing a porous coating layer and to increase the output of the electrochemical device. A separator formed with a porous coating layer comprises a porous base material(i) having a plurality of air bubbles; the first porous coating layer(ii) formed with a mixture consisting of (a) a plurality of filer particles containing at least one selected from a group consisting of positive active material particles, activated carbon particles capable of adsorption/desorption of a negative ion and their mixture, which is coated on the one side of a porous base material, and (b) a binder polymer; and the second porous coating layer(iii) formed with a mixture consisting of (a) a plurality of filer particles containing negative active material particles and (b) a binder polymer, which is coated on the other side of a porous base material.
