An outlet apparatus having a timer function and a power control function and a control method thereof are provided to cut off power supply when power is not needed by using a timer setting function of 25 hour unit or week unit, thereby saving energy by setting and supplying necessary power when power is needed. A controlling unit(15) stores setting contents inputted in a setting input apparatus(18) in a memory(19). And the controlling unit supplies power within a power range set in each socket per a time zone. A timer unit(16) informs whether power is supplied by checking a corresponding time according to the control of the controlling unit. A power control unit(17) outputs a power supply control signal for driving a switch according to a power range of power supplied in a corresponding time zone by the control of the controlling unit. A socket selecting unit outputs the power supply control signal of the timer unit and the power control unit to a corresponding switch.
